If you are starting or ending a Mediterranean cruise here, getting between the cruise terminal and the airport (or your hotel) is a common concern. The geography of the port makes this more complicated than it should be.

Shuttle bus from the cruise terminals to the Columbus Monument at the bottom of Las Ramblas. From there, you must take a taxi to the airport or metro to your hotel. With luggage, this is exhausting and time-consuming.
Taxis are available but lines can be extremely long when multiple ships disembark at once (common on weekends). Some drivers refuse the flat rate from the port. Wait times of 30-60 minutes are normal.
